I am Birthing Hands of DC’s president and founder, Claudia Booker—a DONA-certified Birth Doula, an International Center for Traditional Childbirth (ICTC)-certified Full Circle Doula, and an experienced midwife birth assistant with extensive training beyond my DONA and ICTC certifications.

For three weeks I am traveling as a member of the first all-African-American and African Diasporic team of midwives and midwife students/apprentices with the African Birth Collective to work in a small clinic in Kafountine, Casamance, Senegal.
