The Circle of Sisterly Love
Last Thursday a woman and her newborn twins arrived by emergecny taxi. She had post partum hemorrhage, toxemia,etc... and the babies had not eaten, were cold and dehydrated. A neighbor found her and rushed her in. A circle of women kept watch over her, fed and bathed her and BF her babies for one week. Today the babies were baptized and went home.

On Friday, February 5th, the clinic had 4 sets of twins in the post partum, Le Grand Salon. In Western Africa, fraternal twins is very common. More than 20% of the births are twins.
